Morton Fishery (Livingstone)

6th March 2012

The catch and release anglers were out in force and included amongst the top catches was David Bullen from Edinburgh with 7 on Buzzers, D Galloway 8 on a Damsel, Joe Beattie 12, Jim Fairley 12 on a White Rabbit and D McCormick 10 on a Blob. A Hamlyn took 4 fish weighing 10lbs 2oz on a Hot Head Damsel.

21st Feb 2012

The fishing has been extremely good recently with Buzzers or Bloodworm imitatives being by far the top taking patterns. Iain Dobbie had a couple of good days taking 6 and 12 respectively on C+R tickets, R Anderson had 9, Wallace Muir took 3 for 10lbs and R Kerr  caught 4 for 12lbs. Also doing well was Archie Dalziel with 3 for 11lbs, Gary Paton managed 4 for 11lbs 14oz and David Paton took 4 for 10lbs.

13th November 2011

It was a great week at the fishery with some fabulous baskets coming off. A Halliday used a Mini Cat to bag 3 fish for 20lbs including specimens of 9lbs 4oz and 8lbs, Keith Kettles had 4 for 17lbs 4oz on a Black & White Dancer – best 8lbs 4oz, C Jones, 4 for 22lbs 14oz – best 13lbs 10oz on a Mini Cat and Mr Herbert caught 4 for 24lbs 8oz – best 13lbs on an Olive Buzzer. D Robertson took 6 for 15lbs on a Damsel, J Hamilton used a Buzzer to catch 3 for 14lbs 8oz, G Scott had a fine 12lbs 6oz rainbow on a Yellow Dancer, W Muir had 1 at 9lbs 12oz on a Yellow Dancer and J Brown used a Dancer to bag 4 for 14lbs 8oz.
