Overscraig House Hotel

At the top end of loch Shin the Overscraig is an anglers hotel and the only 'watering hole' for miles around. I recall falling into a submerged peat cut while wading loch Shin, chilled to the bone I retired to the hotel bar and after some local anti freeze (malt, doubles) and a good steak I was fighting fit. Great place to stay while exploring Shin, and the adjacent lochs. It was nearly 30 years ago when I fell in and I still cherish the memories of Overscraig. Hope the breakfast is as hearty as it was.
